We need your support to help local sick, disabled and disadvantaged children in North Wales.

After many years as a Barker with the Variety Club of Great Britain,

Ray Herbert (our Founder) made the decision to put the wealth of knowledge and experience he had gained to use - by forming a charity to help sick, disabled & disadvantaged children living in North Wales.

So in 2003 Happy Faces Children’s Charity was born.

Ray gathered a few friends and family together & registered the charity with the British Charities Commission. The team formed a committee, sought out trustees and began having regular monthly meetings.

Our committee, trustees & helpers are all volunteers - tirelessly giving their time, support & skills for free.

Our first ever request for help was from the parents of a young man named Adam from Llysfaen, who needed a computer to help with his studies at home. Ray fondly remembers the joy and delight on Adam's face when he delivered it to his home.

Over the years we have helped well over 700 children with a wide range of personal items including - iPads, wheelchairs, garden equipment, computers, special reading glasses, specialist equipment, bikes, furniture and beds, sensory items and many more.

We have also funded visits for over 5000 children to attend Christmas parties, days out to zoos and theme parks across the years.
