Table Top Sales
Please note there will be no table top sales in July or August.
These resume in September again at the United Reformed Church Rhos on Sea.
Dates as follows, however please note these now start at 9am and finish at 1pm.

We are delighted to  announce that our Volunteers won an award for Outstanding Contribution
at the CVSC Volunteers Week Celebratory Event held on Tuesday 6th June  2023.

May 2023
On Monday 15th May our  Vice-chairperson Diane and Chairman Alan
attended the Annual Meeting of  the Colwyn Bay Town Council
where Cllr Hannah Fleet was elected Mayor.
We are delighted that Hannah has chosen Happy Faces
as one of her  nominated charities for 2023/2024.

At the Bay of Colwyn Town  Council awards on Monday 17th April
we were delighted that Ray Herbert  won Volunteer of the Year award 2023
& Happy Faces were Highly  Commended.
 Kiosk Manager Denise, Secretary Tracey, Chairman  Alan and Founder Ray
are pictured with the Mayor  and our awards.
On Thursday 6th April 8 year old Gracie Morris completed an incredible 12 mile  sponsored walk
from Kinmel Bay to the Happy Faces Kiosk in Rhos on Sea,  ably supported by her Mum Beth (left)
& our Committee member Barbara.  To date Gracie has raised a  brilliant £362.72 for Happy Faces!

April 2023
We are delighted that our  founder Mr Ray Herbert MBE won a High Sheriff’s Community Service Award
in recognition of Ray being the driving force behind Happy Faces since  its inception in 2003.
Congratulations Ray, richly deserved.

The awards ceremony was held at  Nantclwyd Y Dre Historic House and  Gardens,
Ruthin on Saturday 25th March 2023.
Below is Ray with his award  which was presented by Zoe Henderson,
the High Sheriff of Clwyd. Also  present were local dignitaries.
Our Secretary Tracey and Chairman Alan receiving a £10k donation
from the Nationwide Building Society, Colwyn Bay.
Our gratitude to the Nationwide for this fantastic donation.
November 2022
On Tuesday 22nd November  2022 our Happy Faces volunteers Beryl and Shirley
along with Trustee and  Kiosk Manager Denise and our Chairman Alan
presented a sports  wheelchair and accessories to the Rhyl Raptors Wheelchair Sports Club.
We would like to thank Mike  Hayes and everyone else who attended the session
for making us so  welcome. A most enjoyable and inspiring evening.

Abergele Silverstars  Ukulele band member Jenny presenting a £500 donation -
on behalf of the  band, to our Chairman Alan during their excellent performance
at Rhos on  Sea Cricket Club on Friday 4th November 2022.


October 2022
On Monday 7th November some  of our Happy Faces Children's Charity Volunteers,
along with Gaz Rowlands and Sam Ranshaw, our acclaimed marathon runners & fundraisers, presented a seventeen  seat minibus to Ysgol Godre’r Berwyn.

This was the culmination of Gaz and Sams marvellous fundraising efforts
resulting from their incredible achievement
of running from Rhos on Sea  to London over eight days
& then competing in the London Marathon on  2nd October 2022.

This is the 17th minibus currently on the road which Happy Faces have provided!

We are delighted to announce that John Evans - comedian, actor
& Panto star at Venue Cymru, is our new Charity Ambassador!
John will also be running in the London Marathon 2022
in aid of Happy Faces Children's Charity.


September 2021
On 23rd September 2021 we arranged a fun day out at Welsh Mountain Zoo
for 165 children with special educational needs.
This was made possible by MWT CIVIL ENGINEERING
who raised £4000 with their incredible Mountain Challenge back in July this year!
August 2021
A huge thank you to Phil and Viv from Ukulele Party -
who today presented Ray and Roz from Happy Faces with a cheque for £150.80.
Phil & Ukulele party have been huge supporters of Happy Faces for many years,
and have helped raise thousands of pounds for the charity
by performing in our Summer Season shows in Llandudno Town Hall
and at many outdoor & indoor events.
We are so grateful & proud of Ukulele Party & give sincere thanks
for all the fun & fabulous musical entertainment
they have brought to us over the years.

MWT Civil Engineering - Welsh Mountain Challenge
The amazing team at MWT Civil Engineering
took on a huge physical challenge
and have raised over £3000 to support
Happy Faces Children's Charity & The Welsh Mountain Zoo.
